DAVID MICHAEL FRIEND
The Bident of Angels

by David Michael Friend

A fallen angel tries to contain the demons that reside in it as it incubates humanity. An original score by Benjamin Caron accompanies this marionette and rod puppet short.
As co-producer of the first annual Carnival of Samhain, David performed "Pertussis", a short shadow piece about the death of a puppet maker and his afterlife transition to the Carnival of Samhain. Playing Doctor Harlow in "The Ballad of Phineas P. Gage", Charles Dodgson in "Curiouser & Curiouser" and Icarus in "DoubtingDorothy", David has been involved with Drama of Works since its conceptual piece, Alice in Wonderland, was performed at the CBGB's Gallery. He has recently been seen at HERE Arts Center in Kevin Augustine's "Animal" and LaMama as Lee Harvey Oswald in the Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre's "The Life and Times of Lee Harvey Oswald". He spends his remaining moments in life illustrating and animating for various medias. (dmfriend.com)
